Ellipsis
Ellipsis by Belén L.Yáñez is an audio walking tour co-created with local communities, that encourages you to reconnect with your local area and observe something new and unexpected in the everyday.
Guided by a performer and supported by an audioguide, participants embark on a journey to explore familiar places from a different perspective, blurring the boundaries between reality and imagination.
Within the realm of Ellipsis, participants take on the role of tourists in their own town. An invitation to rediscover and interact with the creative energy of the place, its sights, sounds, smells, textures, pasts, and futures, all of which come together to create a unique community encounter.
Ellipsis was commissioned in Plymouth and Swindon, with participants including local refugees and asylum seekers, for Platforma 2023
