We are delighted to share the logo and website for Counterpoints Productions – the new film production arm of our organisation, dedicated to amplifying voices and stories of displaced and migrant people.
The visual identity has been created by our long-standing friends and collaborators at @b_c_m_h, whose deep understanding of our mission has shaped this distinctive design.
The concept grows from Edward Said’s idea of “counterpoint” referring to the coexistence of multiple, often contrasting perspectives that characterise the experiences of migrants and refugees. These perspectives combine different cultures, languages, histories and geographies – sometimes harmonious, sometimes dissonant, but always rich and complex.
This notion of ‘counterpoint’ is expressed here through visual techniques such as mirroring, rotation and contrast. Elements appear as contrasted or mirrored fragments, suggesting parallel viewpoints and intersecting stories. Contrasting motions and orientations evoke the push and pull of migration, the dialogue between different ways of seeing.
The design captures the essence of Counterpoints Productions: a space where diverse narratives meet, challenge each other and ultimately reshape how we understand movement, identity and home.
