Delighted to hear that Faction Films’ Invisible Picture Show about children in immigration detention centres, has been nominated for the Google Digital Media Award at this year’s One World Media Awards.
Experience Invisible Picture Show
Invisible Picture Show gives a voice to children locked up in Immigration Detention Centres in Australia, Greece, the USA, and South Africa, combining interviews made over the phone, powerful graphics and multimedia animation.
The project was previously nominated for the prestigious ʻInnovation Awardʼ at Sheffield Doc/Fest for its original and unique approach, combing real voice interviews, interactive 3D environments and haunting imagery to create an immersive and unsettling experience. It has been extensively viewed online, presented at Leipzig Animation and Documentary Festival, and was screened at the United Nations in New York and Geneva as part of the End Child Detention Campaign, an international coalition of NGOs who challenge governments to end the detention of children for immigration purposes.
