Learning
We hold learning as a creative and civic practice: a way of supporting and making art and culture with others.
Counterpoints create horizontal learning spaces and programmes that enable fresh conversation, deep listening and new insights to emerge through the work that we support. Our learning processes include:
- Learning partnerships with artists and creative practitioners that build reflection and capacity.
- Convening learning spaces, workshops and retreats that pool insight, resources, support and collaboration across our networks.
- Generating new knowledge and field development through collaboration with learning and research organisations that work across migration, displacement, climate, health and arts / cultural discourses.
Examples of our work here include:
- The Arts, Refugees and Mental Health: Exploring the role of the arts in promoting mental health in a two-year programme of network development, commissions and shared learning.
- Learning Lab: Learning Lab – a space where diverse communities of learners explored the creative arts as a driver for social change.
We disseminate our learning across the public domain, advancing our core commitment to developing migration arts as a field that enables the robust understanding of migration, climate, health and social justice issues to translate into practice and action.
